Education Program

Setting the Standard in Aerospace Education

EDUCATION is the San Diego Aerospace Museum's number one priority. The museum is committed to educating and inspiring people of all ages in the historical, scientific, technological, and cultural aspects of aviation and space flight. It performs this public service through many different educational venues, including:

Extensive exhibits of over 65 aircraft and space vehicles, supported by informative graphics and thousands of related artifacts
An aerospace library and archive recognized as one of the most comprehensive in the United States
Guided tours by knowledgeable volunteers of the museum's exhibit area and aircraft restoration workshop
School Programs for elementary and secondary students both at the museum and at school sites
Summer Programs coordinated with other Balboa Park organizations for exciting student adventures
Special Activities and Programs for families, youth organizations, and other groups
Scholastic recognition for local students through college scholarships and other awards
