TEACHER'S PAGE
The Museum's Education Department is committed to supporting all
teachers, public and private, in their efforts to educate our
youth. By far the most popular school group activity at the Museum
is the guided tour.
Guided tours may be scheduled by calling the Education Department
at (619) 234-9291, ext. 19, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to
4:00 p.m.
Schedule:
- School group tours are scheduled at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m.
and 1:00 p.m. No tours are scheduled on the fourth Tuesday of
each month.
- Our April, May and June schedules
fill up quickly. Planning your visit for other months will give
you a better selection of available dates.
Policies:
- One adult supervisor is required for every 1-10 students (one
per five for children under six). Additional adults must pay
the regular admission fee of $6.00.
- Supervisors MUST remain with the group and are responsible
for good group behavior.
- Teachers with groups second grade or younger may take their
students on an abbreviated visit through the museum.
Cost:
- FREE to school groups from San Diego County with an advance
reservation.
- Out-of-county school groups receive a discounted group rate
($1.00 for students, $5.00 for adults) with an advance reservation.
